Gambling Clinics

Our recommendation is a minimum stay of four weeks; dependent on the individual’s personal circumstances, although some people will need a longer-term programme if they have been gambling for a considerable length of time.
An estimated 600,000 people in the UK are addicted to gambling, with numbers rising rapidly. Most individuals will gamble to escape their emotions, or because they enjoy the rush they experience when doing so. A gambling addiction is a form of risk taking which produces an adrenalin rush, the same as that experienced through extreme sports such as sky-diving, bungee jumping and motorbike racing. |

If you feel as though you have a gambling addiction, then the answer may be that you seek the services of a gambling clinic. This will effectively remove you from your environment and help you look at the reasons why you are using gambling in an unhealthy way. Therapy at a gambling clinic usually consists of psychotherapy, usually through group and one-to-one counselling. This form of treatment is highly effective as it will help the individual address the underlying issues as to why they are gambling, whilst identifying with others who are also suffering with this addiction.
